MREF: real estate and facilities management arrives in the Maximo suite

You already manage your equipment in Maximo, but your buildings, leases and capital projects live elsewhere? With MREF, real estate and facilities management enters the Maximo suite.

What is MREF?

MREF, short for Maximo Real Estate and Facilities, is the real estate and facilities management application in the Maximo Application Suite. It succeeds TRIRIGA and is available from MAS 9.1.

It covers the real estate portfolio:

• spaces;
• leases;
• capital projects;
• building maintenance.

What it can bring to a Maximo customer

• A unified view of buildings and the assets inside them. The building and what it contains are no longer managed in two separate worlds.
• Proven workflows for facilities maintenance.
• A direct link to the work orders and assets already in Maximo. What you have built in Maximo remains your anchor.

Who it is for

MREF suits managers of multiple buildings: education, healthcare, municipalities, large real estate portfolios. If your portfolio is one or two buildings with no lease or capital project challenges, the benefit will probably be limited.

A recent module: where your Maximo knowledge matters

MREF is new to the MAS suite. It does not yet have the deployment track record of a product installed for years. In this context, what makes the difference is knowing your Maximo environment: your assets, your work orders, the way you work.
