Maximo Health: know which assets deserve your attention first

30 September 2026 | Patrice Duchesne

In a fleet of equipment, not everything deserves the same attention at the same time. The real question is which assets are degrading, which are critical, and where to invest first. Maximo Health is designed to help answer it.

Note: this is about the health of your assets, meaning your equipment, not health in the medical sense.

What Maximo Health does

Maximo Health uses data from Maximo Manage to assess the health of assets. It combines:

  • the criticality of the equipment;
  • its history;
  • its operating conditions.

What it can bring

  • A health indicator for each asset, to spot those that are degrading.
  • A foundation for moving from planned maintenance to condition-based maintenance. You act on the condition of the asset rather than only on the calendar.
  • Support for replacement and budget decisions. When you must choose what to replace and what to keep, you rely on an indicator rather than gut feeling.

The condition: clean data

A health indicator is only as good as the data feeding it. If equipment criticality is outdated, work order history is incomplete or equipment records are poorly maintained, the indicator will mislead. Without good data, no health indicator is reliable.

That is why Maximo Health mostly suits customers whose work and failure history is clean and whose equipment criticality is up to date. If that is not yet your case, the right first step is to fix it, which is worthwhile even without Maximo Health.

A module we are exploring with pioneer clients

Maximo Health is a relatively new module for us. We therefore do not present results already achieved at other clients. We are looking for a few pioneering organizations, already Maximo customers, willing to explore the module with us, starting with an honest look at the state of their data.

What we offer: a data quality assessment

An assessment of your data quality: criticality, work order history, equipment records. You will know where you stand, what is ready and what must be fixed, before committing to anything.
