Maintenance Technician (R72)


Joining STI Maintenance as a Maintenance Technician means becoming a creator of change and taking part in the growth of one of the most important SME’s specialized in asset management services.

Your role could resemble the following:

  1. Create and update technical documentation using the client’s systems or maintenance management software.
  2. Propose equipment locations in the client’s maintenance management equipment structure.
  3. Define, elaborate and configure maintenance plans using best practices in maintenance management.
  4. Define scheduling necessary to carry-out maintenance plans in accordance with the client’s master schedule.
  5. Determine equipment spare parts and create or link them in the clients’ maintenance management software.
  6. Elaborate and create job plans or task lists and document appropriate work methods.
  7. Evaluate material, labour, services and equipment rental needs and document them in the clients’ maintenance management system.
  8. Determine and link the required technical documentation in the clients’ maintenance management system.


  1. A college degree in a field related to Engineering (mechanical, building mechanics, electrical or industrial maintenance) or training relevant to tasks.
  2. 3-5 years of experience
  3. Knowledge of Maximo or other CMMS (an asset)
  4. Knowledge of the field of maintenance management (an asset)
  5. Excellent oral and written communication skills
  6. Must be autonomous and have leadership skills, must enjoy working in teams, have excellent problem-solving skills, be analytical and have a strong sense of responsibility.


  1. The selected candidate will have the possibility of working from the Saguenay office or working from home (telework).
  2. The candidate may be required to travel to client offices/work sites depending on business needs.
  3. Full training program to learn the software upon hire.
  4. The selected will have the opportunity to participate in the department’s / company’s growth by sharing his opinion and being involved in various committees.
  5. The mandates vary greatly and can occur across various fields such as refineries, mines, ports, infrastructure and transportation.
  6. The candidate will be asked to work on major projects with highly important clients (public, parapublic, multinational, large companies).
